Remember That?

Sometimes taking a nostalgic look back at the past decade can give us a glimpse of just how much could change in the next ten years. Here’s a fun one!

15 things that became obsolete this past decade

  • PDAs
  • Email accounts that cost money
  • Dial-up Internet service
  • Having film developed
  • Movie rental stores
  • VCRs
  • Paper maps
  • Newspaper classified ads
  • Personal land-based phones
  • Public pay phones
  • Fax machines
  • Paper phone books dictionaries and encyclopedias
  • Calling 411
  • Music CDs
  • Record and book stores

I found more in my research that I don’t feel are obsolete, yet but certainly getting there. For example, a lot of businesses still have landlines even if many people don’t at home.
